Hal's holiday!
This year, Hal's holiday took him to the Lake District with his black lab best friend, Marvel. We spent almost a week in a brilliant lodge at Lowther Holiday Park, which is a lovely, scenic and super dog friendly holiday park. Dogs are pretty much welcome all over the park, including the bar!
We took many dog friendly trips during our stay, starting with Lowther Castle & Gardens. It was a very straight forward walk from Lowther Holiday Park (we got our 10,000 steps there and back) but is accessible by car as it has it's own car park. The castle itself is beaut to look at it, but essentially still in ruins - no roof or windows!
Most importantly, it's dog friendly! While it costs for adults (£11) and children (£7) to actually enter the castle and walk through it, onto the adventure playground and cafe, dogs are free and welcome almost all over the castle - as long as they are kept on leads.
We were unlucky to venture to the castle on the rainiest day of our holiday, so we had two very wet, muddy but happy pups!
Hal & the team x
